The Tweed is tidal and last night’s rain storm heads out to sea, as most of us do at one time or another, running against the tide.

Other, more right-minded beings were going about their business at the turn of the tide on the famous salmon river – such as the ever patient seal and the fisherman mending the net.  The bridges over the Tweed in Berwick always look as though they’ve just stepped from an old, old postcard.
