    • Your being v kind – and I’m afraid it’s undeserved. It’s just what turned up plus a little tweeking. Low light setting with superfine on a now getting old Canon Ixus 60 with the usual multiple shots taken to hopefully achieve something I can fiddle with. Fiddling being a little histogram and midtones and judicious cropping. Thanks so much for dropping by – your comment is v encouraging.

    • Many thanks {er, I think 😉 } We’ve been cleaning it out and the liana-like roots of the ivy are everywhere, wrapped around every object in the room and lying around as pretty unbreakable boobly traps for the unwary foot placement. Just like one of those scenes where the growths come alive, if you step forward with your foot in a loop of root the dratted thing tightens as you pull. V Sleeping Beauty palace stuff. Thanks so much for stopping by.

  3. This is creepy! It needs a story written about it.

    • Well, get the pen primed and go for it 🙂 Cleaning the place out is not v pleasant, I can tell you and it’s v mundane. There is a feel around the window, and along the barrel ceiling area where the ivy roots have come thro, of something ‘other’ going on, I have to admit. V Victorian and someone locked away feel. Dereliction (of building and duties etc) going on. Have at it, I say. Big thanks and best wishes
